Writing

i know i should write a story. i will. promise.

1. i know you guys are smart. write a story NOT ABOUT YOURSELVES. expand. think outside the box. don't keep yourself confined in the two people you constantly write about in every. single. story. you. start. please.

2. titles: not too poetic. i mean, i do it too, but... no, just don't. i mean, "eternal feather" sounds great, whoever's that was, but it's so smooth. name it something crazy, like "hot glue gun". make it work.

3. it doesn't have to be all classic. write realistic fiction. write a teen novel. write the kind of thing that you don't have to look up half the words on a page. you don't need to use the word "reform" or "communism". okay hold on what am i saying.

4. your stories are great, really. they're not boring, although it reminds me so much of an older, thin paged book. the government. the Chinese? communism. troops. just...

okay the thing is? i would never write something like the ones you guys are writing. whatever i post will be entirely out of sync. i'm sorry, but deal with it. if you don't like it, please tell me. i really won't care. i'll write a cute, sweet love story, and you guys stick with your delusional coffee (yes howard, your stories are amazing).

so... how about it? think i could really post a typical library-shelved-under-"teens" teen novel? i'm mainly asking silvia. since she's a girl. and i think she understands.

  1. Well actually I am the one writing Eternal Feather and it is a romance, so it is good to role off the tounge. Also the names for everyone I think are not permanent. just place holders. Also the names were just a advice pole I made because Silvia had not named hers and "Dark Washington" is just... yeah. It doesn't really matter what genre you write, but if you have any sexual content please warn us before it happens. Also destruction of the world is only semi classic, there all different. Silvia's is a child spy so not really classic but maybe a bit overused, and then mine is a nice romance based for 9th graders to adults.

  2. 1.I have a really hard time coming up with names, so naming characters after people makes my life easier. If you have any good names, please tell me. They're so hard to think up...
Also, I do have several more characters in my story.

    2. I have a hard time with titles, too. Builder siad my title was awful so I changed it to what he wanted. Sorry if this one is just as bad.

    3. I like writing post-apocolyptic fiction. I find realism as not interesting enough for me, so I don't write about it. I also am not normal, so I don't know what people around my age are interested in. I don't realize people have to look things up in a dictionary, so I'm sorry if it confuses you. I'm really not normal, so I can't tell what words people know. I need an editor... am i saying.

    4. Yeah, the Chinese government. Communism vs. Capitalism is the only thing so far I can see starting World War Three, as most of the rest of the world gets along and terrorism is extremely over-rated.

The coffee and everything was invented by both me and the person who invented the name "Howard Windstorm." He says he's writing a new one. There are several others I wrote, but they have so many people I know in them that barely anyone would get it. I may edit them and post them later.
I think you could write a story. I just don't know much about this "teen" literature. Maybe the fact I don't watch TV and am way too obsessed with science has something to do with it...

  3. builder: 1. oh haha were you the one who wrote the story about the guy who went on a "date" with the girl and like her dress flew up or something? haha, nice.
    2. sexual content? umm no, i don't write sexual content. a kiss is probably as far as i will ever go. HAHA SEXUAL CONTENT. you're going to IHS right?

windstorm: 1. check a baby names book. i used to flip through those. HAHA.
    2. what are the titles of your books?
    3. no haha it's fine. it just reminds me of like... ender's game which i haven't actually read, but it's not a bad thing.
    4. i can edit, if you want me to
    5. someone asked me about communism today.

i know your names, haha. it doesn't matter if you're way too obsessed with science and you don't watch TV. it actually might be kinda cool.

  4. Jennifer,

I am going to IHS right now. Also I just felt like telling you because romance novels can lead that way (no I do not know if mine will). Also the titles of the books by vote are for Silvia "Whispers of Voice" because the main character can "talk" to animals. For Howard "Storm and Fire" which has multiple meanings. A:It sounds actiony B: Storm as in to raid fire as in to fire guns C: Storms and fire as in destruction. For me my book is Eternal Feather. I liked this because it seems graceful and uplifting. Also editing is fine and please do that, but please write.

  5. ohh are you in one of those high leveled maths? like umm. "10th honors" is the first one you'd take at IHS.

i like the titles, except windstorm's. it reminds me of dragons. not that there's anything wrong with dragons.
