Breaking Love

we had a 10 line poem assignment where we had 10 books, opened to a random page and copied down a sentence until we reached the end of a line on our paper. then we took those words and had to make a poem. this sucks.

Love like fish darting through hands
He said he’d see me back here
He didn’t
Love only slightly different from the rest
Looking for thoughts
He rolls his eyes
Love falling silent
Nothing to show why
He did it
