Builder of Happiness stood in front of a council of his followers. He had a solemn look on his face. They all had in their minds that this was the turning point, an turning point for the entire universe. Anxiousness was strong in them, they could not avoid it. They only sat in anticipation of the speech to be delivered.
Builder had only established the People's Nihilistic Party a few years ago. It had rapidly grown with many people around the world becoming members. Soon enough, there were over one hundred thousand members, along with a vast army. The belief that life is only pain led the army to be the cruelest in the world, and Builder and his generals had many war crimes attributed to them. With this vast army, he had conquered Japan.
Builder cleared his throat and began the speech. "My fellow nihilists," he said, staring intently at his note cards and not looking up for a second, "We are finally ready to begin the plan. We must bring order to this chaotic universe. Life is chaos. All around us is chaos. Our only hope to bring order to this chaos is to destroy the universe.
"To do this, we must eliminate the source of our universe's growth: dark energy. If we succeed in our plans to turn this into dark matter, it will go all the better. However, to start, we need a black hole. Gravity is negative energy. If it absorbs all the matter in the universe, it will eventually emit radiation causing it to shrink and our universe will return to a perfect zero.
"We have strived long and hard to achieve this. On this very night we will start. Our black hole has been made, as you may have been informed, a few hours ago. It is being kept at a stable size, but when ready it will consume the whole world. We only need wait until we gather more support. Currently, though, we must decide where to use it. I will let you vote on it. Write down the name on a slip and give it to me."
A few minutes later all the slips were given to Builder. He read off all of the suggested names. Many of them held one name; Sierra Leone. Builder realized exactly why. This was Windstorm Industries' stronghold on Earth. Doing so would badly injure the company, as it was said Howard himself was staying there. Builder had an objection.
"True, destroying Sierra Leone would be a loss to WI," Builder said, "but didn't you hear the news? Howard died. It would already be a major loss for the company, so I would suggest another area."
"There have been multiple reports of Howard dying!" exclaimed one member of the council, "and he never has. Why should we trust this report? We should destroy the company while it's down."
"True," said Builder, "we should. Let's place it in Sierra Leone in exactly one week. Get to work, all of you! We have little time to build an army great enough to destroy the Earth.”
